RE5RO5A adopts seven-speed shift solenoid valve to realize the shift function.
Six of the shift solenoid valves are linear solenoid valves,
and the other is on-off solenoid valves.
When the linear solenoid valve is assembled,
its operating characteristics have been engraved into the TCM memory of the control valve body assembly in the factory.
Therefore, the shift solenoid valve cannot be replaced separately.
When one or more shift solenoid valves fail, the entire valve body assembly with built-in TCM must be replaced.
TCM models such as F50, Y61 and V35 need to perform EEPROM cleaning procedures, but not for J50 models because the TCM and solenoid valve as a whole need to be replaced.
MaticJ transmission fluid
RE5RO5A needs to use Nissan MaticJ transmission oil,
other oils are not applicable (including Nissan Matic D oil).
Using incorrect oil can permanently damage the transmission.
To prevent incompatible oil from entering the gear box, the oil level gauge has been bolted.
